WE BELIEVE

The Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit

God the Son became Jesus Christ, having been born of a virgin, lived without sin,

and died as a substitute for sinful man

God the Father accepted Jesus Christ's death as full payment for man's sins,

saving all who choose to rely upon Jesus' payment for sin

Salvation is provided as a free gift, received through faith in the finished work of Christ,

apart from any human merit

God the Holy Spirit indwells everyone who is saved, empowering every believer to live a victorious life

over sin and to minister effectively in a local community

  • The Godhead

We believe in the One Triune God, existing eternally in three persons: The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are one God having precisely the same nature, attributes, and perfections and are worthy of precisely the same honor, and obedience.

The Father being the initiator and planner of all of creation.

  • Jesus Christ

We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, being eternally God, was The Word who became flesh, the Son of God, ordained by the Father to be the mediator between God and man. God sent His Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, to fully reveal God and to redeem sinful man. Being fully God, He humbled Himself, taking the nature of man. The sinless Son of God gave Himself as a voluntary, substitutionary sacrifice on the cross for the sins of all. After three days Jesus arose from the grave, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven, where He makes intercession for us and awaits the Father's appointed time to come again for us.

  • The HOly Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Godhead and possesses the same nature, attributes, and perfections as the other members of the Trinity. We believe that God the Holy Spirit calls, regenerates, baptizes, indwells, fills, convicts, empowers, and seals the believer in Christ until the day of redemption.

  • THe Bible

We believe in the verbal inspiration of the Bible. Holy men of God were "moved by the Holy Spirit" to write the very words of Scripture. We believe that this divine inspiration extends equally to all parts of the Scriptures.

The Bible is infallible, inerrant, and is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

"For ever, O Lord, Thy word is settled in heaven." Psalm 119:89

  • SALVATION

We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death. All humanity is born with a sinful nature and are sinners in thought, word, and deed. Salvation is the gift of God, apart from any human merit, brought to men by grace and received through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose blood was shed on the cross of calvary for the forgiveness of sins. All who receive His grace through faith are born again sons of God, and they are kept by God's power and secure in Christ forever. John 3

  • Creation

We believe in the biblical account of creation that all three persons of the Godhead participated in the heavens and the earth being created in six, literal twenty-four-hour days. We believe that God exists independent of His creation and yet sustains, cares for, and watches over all He has created.

  • Man

We believe that man was created in God's image by the direct act of God. Having been created in a state of holiness and righteousness, Adam willfully sinned against God and fell from that state. The consequence of the fall is that all men are totally depraved sinners both by nature and by choice.

Fallen man is devoid of the ability to do good and to please God. Man, therefore, apart from the grace of God, is already under the condemnation of God and will be consigned forever to eternal conscious punishment.

  • Sanctification

We believe that sanctification is the process by which we are made partakers of God's holiness. In Christ Jesus we are sanctified at salvation, but sanctification is also a progressive work of our flesh, which begins at salvation and is carried on throughout the earthly lives of believers.

It is accomplished by the presence and power of the Holy Spirit and our continual use of the appointed means, namely the Word of God, prayer, self-examination, self-denial, and watchfulness.

  • THE CHURCH

We believe the Church is a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the Head and which all regenerated people in this age are a part. We believe that the Church is distinct from Israel.

A local church is a company of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, associated for worship, fellowship, and service. The local church is autonomous.

We believe the primary purpose of the local church is to bring glory to God by evangelizing the world and edifying believers.

  • Ordinances

We believe there are two ordinances for the church: baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is by immersion of a believer in water. It is a picture of what has taken place on the inside, dying to self, and raising to walk in newness of life. It is not a requirement for Salvation, but a step of obedience.

The Lord's Supper is the commemoration of the Lord's sacrificial death that believers are to remember until He comes.

  • Marriage

We believe that God's plan for marriage is one man and one woman for life, as created by God, sanctioned by Christ, and approved by the Apostles. Some individuals are called and gifted by God to a single life and that this is also biblical and wholly good. Any other unions or lifestyles are expressly forbidden in Scripture and are not acceptable behavior.

  • FUTURE EVENTS

We believe in the imminent, pretribulation rapture of the church to Heaven, followed by a seven-year tribulation upon all the earth. At the end of the tribulation, Jesus shall come to the earth in power and glory with His Church to establish His millennial reign. Satan will be bound, and Israel shall be re-established in the Promised Land. At the end of this glorious reign, Satan shall be loosed and lead a rebellion against Christ, at which time Satan shall be defeated and banished to the Lake of Fire forever.

The unrighteous dead shall be judged at the Great White Throne and shall be condemned to everlasting conscious punishment in the Lake of Fire. The righteous shall be in eternal blessedness in the presence of the Lord.
